Morgan Wallen is giving his fans the news first—his highly anticipated fourth studio album, I'm The Problem, is set for release on May 16, 2025. Blending his signature country sound with cross-genre and dirt-rock influences, the album will drop just in time for his inaugural Sand In My Boots Festival, an all-genre event taking place May 16-18 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Spending nearly a year crafting and fine-tuning the tracklist from his farm outside Nashville, Wallen collaborated with longtime producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome to shape an album that takes stock of his past while looking ahead.
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I've got no problem admitting that,” Wallen shares. “But there are other sides to me, too. Over the past 11 months, I’ve been asking myself, Do I still want to be the problem? I think it’s time to move forward, and this might be my last chance to say it honestly.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to hear what Wallen’s been working on. Two tracks from the album drop tonight:
- “Just In Case” – Written by Wallen, John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass, and Alex Bak. Produced by Joey Moi and co-produced by Charlie Handsome.
- “I'm A Little Crazy” – Written by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps, and Jameson Rodgers. Produced by Joey Moi.
Wallen recently became the first artist in history to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. With I'm The Problem, he digs even deeper—offering fans a more personal, grounded, and unfiltered look at his life.
Fans can catch Wallen performing songs from the upcoming album on NBC’s Saturday Night Live next Saturday, March 29, when he returns as a musical guest.
The album release will also launch Wallen’s massive 2025 I'm The Problem Tour, kicking off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The 20-show tour will hit cities like Seattle, Foxborough, Toronto, and more, with a second date added in Madison, Wisconsin, marking the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.
Special Guests & Festival Exclusivity
A rotating lineup of Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Koe Wetzel will join Wallen as direct support, with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson opening select dates. These 21 shows—including Sand In My Boots Festival—will be Wallen’s only live performances in 2025.
