Shields Drop Surprising New Single "I Just Feel Hate"

"I'd rather drown than speak another lie to you // It seems the feeling is not mutual //Anger fills my heart..."

Those are lyrics from "I Just Feel Hate" by British metalcore band Shields, who stirred up the UK metal scene more than 12 years ago with the backing of a YouTube video that since has been streamed millions of times.

All these years later, the song is leaving the underground and has been officially released for the first time — with a twist.

"This song was and still is hugely important to us. It put us on the map when we were still a small local band, and to this day, people have been asking for it to be released properly on streaming platforms. We decided to finally get our act together and do just that, and as a token of our appreciation for those that care about our band, we have recorded a new version of the track that stays true to the original song but with the sonic make-up and delivery of the band we have become in 2025. This is the first release of many — people will not have to wait much longer to see what else we have been quietly cooking up for the past year," says Shields' Sam Kubrick Finney.Photo credit: Oli DuncansonForming in 2012, Shields rapidly made a good impression on the metal community with "I Just Feel Hate," which was followed by their EP GUILT. 2018 saw the release of Shields' debut album Life In Exile, which included the singles "Black Dog" and "It's Killing Me." After a five-year hiatus, Shields returned in the summer of 2023, set to release a brand new song "Bury Me," just before they took the stage again at Burn It Down Festival UK. Throughout the band's career, Shields toured with bands such as Ice Nine Kills, Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, Veil Of Maya, Escape the Fate, and Loathe.

Info from Atom Splitter PR and Aristng Empire

Impactful, melancholic, and energetic — these are qualities with which Lost in Hollywood vocalist Amon Garrasi, guitarist Timo Dymala, bassist Julian Utz, and drummer Samuel Minio capture the emotions of their listeners. Their new modern metalcore hymn "Chasing Dreams" transcends through a unique audiovisual experience and sets the stage as the new single for their upcoming second studio album.

Lost in Hollywood were founded in early 2023 and gained attention in the metalcore scene, with their debut album The Beauty of Death gaining over 1.3 million streams. Their first live shows, including at the Reeperbahn Festival 2024, showcased the band's immense potential. Not only do they offer a-quality sound, but also an electrifying stage presence from all band members, promising an unforgettable concert experience.

Watch the "Chasing Dreams" music video below.

"Chasing Dreams" was co-produced and mixed by Max Ivory, and mastered by Christoph Wieczorek, one of the most demanded producers in the scene who has worked on critically acclaimed albums with acts such as Electric Callboy, Future Palace, Annisokay, and many more.

Lost in Hollywood offer a symbiosis between emotional vocals, modern urban pop influences, and heavy-hitting breakdowns with this new single, that catches the ear with huge emphasis on strong contrasts. It tells the story of searching for the final stage of happiness with a person you idolize, just to realize that there is no such thing as infinite bliss and your dream life can't satisfy you if you've not healed from within.

Seattle hardcore band Dragged Under have dropped their full-throttle new single "AlgoRHYTHM"

"AlgoRHYTHM" smashes together all of the elements that make Dragged Under such a formidable force and returns to their roots of their breakout debut album The World Is In Your Way — crushing riffs, whiplash hooks, raging hardcore vocals, and pinpoint social observations.

"'AlgoRHYTHM' is a commentary on the current meta of music promotion," says vocalist Tony Cappocchi.

He adds, "Scrolling endlessly on artist accounts online only to see the same uninspired dancing and lip syncing to their newest song until inevitably it hits and goes viral or they move on. It almost feels as if artists don't have to write good music, or don't challenge themselves to create something they're actually interested in, instead they're writing FOR the algorithms, with the end goal being 'success at any cost.'"

Talking about the social media formatted video, he continues, "We tried to make a video that captures the absurdity and chaos that is the social media algorithm — you never know what you'll see next or why, and we wanted to mirror that sentiment with the visuals."

Watch the "AlgoRHYTHM" music video below.

"AlgoRHYTHM" follows their previous single, 2023's "Mad Punks," in which the band challenged authenticity. This came hot on the heels of their 2022 album, Upright Animals, which was released on Mascot Records. The band has already clocked up an incredible 70 million streams. Since the release of that album, Dragged Under have played crushing festival sets at Louder Than Life (US), Aftershock (US),  Slam Dunk (UK), Download (UK), 2000Trees (UK), Hellfest (France),  and Full Force (Germany).

They joined Blessthefall in the U.S. in support of their Hollow Bodies 10th Anniversary Tour, as well as runs with Beartooth, Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, The Used, 10 Years, From Ashes to New, and The Word Alive, along with several headline tours across North America. They also tore through the UK and Europe, touring with The Ghost Inside and Landmvrks, as well as their own headline tour.

Their journey so far has seen them pick up support from SiriusXM Octane, Alternative Press, Metal Injection, BBC Radio 1, Rock Sound, Kerrang! magazine, Metal HammerKerrang! Radio, as well as Amazon, Apple, and Spotify playlisting.

2025's line-up —the aforementioned Cappocchi [vocals], Sean Rosario[guitar], and new drummer Dylan Roy [also of Canadian metalcore heroes Oni] — is a snarling beast ready to be let off the leash.

Sleep Theory Release New Song and Video For "III"

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — recently announced their eagerly awaited debut album, Afterglow, which arrives on May 16 via Epitaph Records. The album offers a stunning display of diverse rock flavors and was produced by David Cowell and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Architects). Pre-order it here

Today, they are sharing the video for new single "III."

The song is a thrill ride, mixing synths and raucous riffing with the band's signature, stadium-sized melodies.

"At its core, 'III' is about betrayal," shares Moore about the intensely personal subject matter. "It's that gut-wrenching feeling when someone you trusted completely lets you down. The song dives into that pain, but it's also about facing the truth, even when it hurts and realizing not everyone is who they say they are."

He continues, "I want people to really think about who they let into their lives. Not everyone deserves your trust, and sometimes, those closest to you can do the most damage."

However, the song is meant to inspire hope and to find the positives that are embedded in a painful moment. Moore finishes, "But beyond, it's about learning from those experiences rather than letting them break you. If this song helps someone feel less alone in that kind of situation, then it's done its job."

"III" follows "Static," which peaked at No. 16 on Spotify Viral 50 in the U.S. and is the band's fastest-growing song to date, with over 12 million streams since its release. The album's lead single "Stuck In My Head" ascended to the No. 1 lot on the Active Rock radio charts — a first for the band! The song is currently No. 26 and building at Alternative radio. All told, Sleep Theory have accumulated 300 million streams across nine singles in their brief but blockbuster career thus far.

Sleep Theory will embark on its first-ever headline tour, kicking off on May 20 in Birmingham, Alabama and winding through the U.S. before wrapping on June 28 in their hometown of Memphis. In under two years, they became the fifth most-played artist on Active Rock radio. Afterglow and the Paper Hearts EP merge heavy rock with pop and R&B, producing anthemic bangers and emotional ballads. Shannon Larkin And Tony Rombola Announce That They Have Officially Quit Godsmack

Godsmack's European/UK tour recently kicked off without two longtime members, drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola. It was just revealed that they actually quit the band in late 2024, with their departures recently confirmed by the band. Vocalist Sully Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill are now joined by drummer Will Hunt and bassist Sam Bam Koltun for the current tour. Larkin explained the situation in a since-deleted Facebook video, stating: “We did quit the band last year after lots of talking to Sully and Robbie, and they understood that we didn’t want to tour anymore. In the end Godsmack’s out there touring and we are out here happily living our lives. It’s all love. We’re brothers for life with Sully and Robbie.” Godsmack issued their own statement which says, “After almost 3 incredible decades, two of our most cherished members have decided to retire from the band permanently, on good terms, but for no other reason than to fulfill their desire to live a more simple and quiet life away from touring.”

Doc Coyle and Kyle Konkiel leave Bad Wolves

By Leeza Photo Credit: Clay Patrick McBride

Bad Wolves may look a little different the next time you see them live

The band has announced that the Doc Coyle and Kyle Konkiel are leaving the band, and are welcoming guitarist Chris Cain and bassist Kevin Creekman in their places.

The band took to their social media to announce the lineup change, writing:

"Bad Wolves officially announce the departure of longtime guitarist Doc Coyle and bassist Kyle Konkiel as they step away to pursue new creative endeavors. In light of this change, original guitarist Chris Cain is rejoining Bad Wolves. His return marks a homecoming, bringing Cain‘s signature energy and musicianship back into the fold for the first time since 2022. Additionally, the band welcomes Swiss born Kevin “The Creekman” Creekman as new bassist stepping in for Kyle Konkiel. Creekman, a Las Vegas based musician previously played with Payton Perish.

Bad Wolves band founder and drummer, John Boecklin expressed the deepest gratitude for both Doc‘s and Kyle‘s contributions over the years: ‘Words can’t really express what Kyle and Doc mean to me as bandmates, as well as friends. I love them with all my heart and I wish them luck on their journey. Having Chris return home feels so right, we’ve already been writing so he’s back in the saddle. Creekman is brand new .. to us and the fans, so let’s welcome him into this next chapter and go kill it."

Doc Coyle issued a personal statement about his departure, writing:

“Dear Wolfpack,

I regret to inform you that I have decided to part ways with Bad Wolves. It was not an easy decision to make. I have been playing with the band for almost 9 years, so this is a massive life change for me. It should be said that this is a completely amicable split. I love John, Kyle, DL, and AJ. Not being in the trenches going forward with my boys is the hardest part of all of this. But this has been coming for a long while, and I think my time in the band has just run its course.

I am still rooting for Bad Wolves to take over the world. And it warms my heart knowing that our old guitarist, Chris Cain, is coming back to take the baton from me on lead guitar.

I won’t provide an in-depth explanation of why I’m leaving at the moment. I’m sure I’ll share more
details at some point when it’s appropriate. I feel like I’ve lost a bit of who I am as a creative and where my passion lies. Being in this band has brought challenges that have taken quite an emotional toll and burned me out. Through the ups and downs, I’ve done everything in my power to make Bad Wolves successful. I’m very proud of our work, the albums we made, and overcoming the adversity we faced. But it’s time for a fresh start.

Breaking out the way we did in 2018 gave me a 2nd chapter to my career that I could never have dreamed of. Being in our late 30s and receiving #1 singles, gold albums, and arena tours right out of the gate was a stunning achievement. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities and doors that have opened since I was in Bad Wolves. And I’m proud of the fact that it inspired many musicians to keep grinding it out. If we could do it, you could do it.

I want to thank everyone who worked with the band all these years – everyone at 10th Street Management and Better Noise Music, Eric and MSK, Independent Artist Group, every single crew member we’ve had, everyone who’s written songs with us or done production work on any of our albums, but most of all I want to thank the Bad Wolves fans. Your dedication has been a true inspiration. We’ve gotten each other through lots of hard times. The Wolfpack really is a family to me. Any time I’ve had the chance to meet you in person, give you a hug, share your story, or take a picture together has meant the world to me. I will forever be grateful for your support.

What’s next? I’m not sure, but for the first time in a long time, I have nothing on the books. My schedule is wide open. That frightens me and excites me. I’m writing music. I’m on a journey to find out what hell it is I want in life. And it’s 0k to not have all the answers right now. If you know me, you know that I’m not very good at staying idle, so I’m sure I’ll see you all soon.

Love and respect,
Doc Coyle“

Kyle Konkiel also issued a departing statement, saying:

"After eight incredible years, I’ve decided to step down from Bad Wolves. This wasn’t an easy choice, but after much reflection, I know in my heart that I can no longer give this band 100%. And anything less wouldn’t be fair to the music, my bandmates, or the fans.

There are so many things I still want to accomplish in my career, and I feel now is the time to explore new creative paths, whether on my own or in a new project.

The memories, the shows, and the experiences over the past near-decade will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish John, DL, and AJ nothing but success and will continue to cheer them on however I can. And as for my brother Doc, you already know I’ve got his back for life. We’ve been through more together than most bands ever do, and my support doesn’t end here.

To all the incredible fans, crew, and fellow musicians I’ve met along the way, thank you. Your support has meant everything, and I look forward to crossing paths again in whatever comes next. This isn’t the end. Just the start of a new chapter"

Greywind Releases New Emo Anthem "Acid Rain"

📸: Josiah Van Dien

Paul O’Sullivan mark a bold new era with the release of their first single under FLG, the cinematic emo anthem "Acid Rain." A pulse-pounding, melody-driven powerhouse, this track is destined to ignite crowds while purging a few demons along the way. The new single is accompanied by a music video, available to view below.

Steph comments on "Acid Rain":

“This song is about being in a toxic situation and feeling like everything is crashing down around you, which we know all too much about.”

Paul adds:

“As soon as we finished writing ‘Acid Rain,’ we knew it had to be the first song to start the new era of GREYWIND. It’s cinematic, dramatic, and has everything we love about music in it. We wanted it to feel like a movie and you’re now in our world.”

Inspired by great emo pop originators like Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, GREYWIND are on a mission to bring the genre into the future with an insatiable energy and armed with a never-ending supply of hooks. The duo’s flair for the dramatic and knack for an earworm melody is seeing them build their own musical world, to which they’re inviting their dedicated following, along with any unsuspecting listener lucky enough to arrive at the doors of their universe.

GREYWIND’s poignantly visceral ‘Antidote’ EP was released last year via Version III and acted as a stepping stone from their debut album, ‘Afterthoughts’ released in 2017 viaSpinefarm, to this new era. The EP was jointly produced by Sam Guaiana (Neck Deep, Silverstein, Like Pacific, Intervals) and The Wonder Years guitarist Casey Cavaliere. It was mastered by Mike Kalajian (Saosin, New Found Glory, Circa Survive). Singles from the EP received praise from the likes of Kerrang!, Brooklyn Vegan and Hot Press, as well as spins on BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! Radio

Recently seen live in the UK with the likes of The Wonder Years, Madina Lake and As December Falls, GREYWIND are also making a splash internationally, having toured the US multiple times last year with Tiny Moving Parts, 408, Boys of Fall and Telltale

Tallah Announce Third Album 'Primeval: Obsession // Detachment’ Out September 5th

Unpredictable, uncompromising and unrelentingly original, Tallah have never been easy to categorise. The Pennsylvania-bred unit are back with a vengeance today as they announce brand new album ‘Primeval: Obsession // Detachment’, due out September 5th via Earache Records and drop What we know—the first single and opening track.

Simultaneously maximalist, raw and unfiltered, “What we know” sets the tone for what’s to come—an album unshackled by rules or expectations. Blending acoustic guitars, trap-metal 808s, string quartets, talkbox solos and more into one furiously cohesive piece, the track is a mission statement for the chaos ahead.

“The first song that was written for the album, and easily my #1 Tallah song to date,” says bassist Max Portnoy. “The amount of experimentation on this track paved the road for the tone of the whole record. From performing the first half of the song on acoustic guitars, to layering trap-metal 808’s over a string quartet with dissonant plucks in the chorus, to a trading guitar solo with a talkbox and a slide, you can find so many fun tools we incorporated, without it feeling disjointed. To have all that experimentation, in a driving and energetic track with a massive chorus, made for my favorite piece of work yet. It was a no-brainer to start the record with this one.”

‘Primeval: Obsession // Detachment’ is a concept album rooted in narrative and boundless in scope. Set on an alien planet, it follows Ana, a nurse, and Sheelah, an assassin—two strangers pushed to the brink of their morality by the same mysterious group of beings. Their journeys spiral through tests of belief, identity, and loyalty, building toward a finale laced with twists, dualities, and mirrored consequences. Architect of the exceptional and intricate world-building Tallah have become known for on each of their albums, vocalist Justin Bonitz shares

“Primeval Obsession/Detachment is a concept album taking place on an alien planet. The story follows two characters, Ana (a nurse) and Sheelah (an assassin). Both are approached by the same group of beings, who ask the main characters to each perform a task that will test their values and push their morals to the limit before ending with twist after twist. The album explores morality, duty, personal beliefs, duality, and understanding one's place in society.”

Tracked live in Michigan with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the record captures Tallah in their purest, most unhinged form. No click. No edits. No polish. Just instinct and execution. It also sees founding member, Max Portnoy, making a major creative shift from drums to bass and Justin recording the vocals for the whole album in one, continuous take.

Providing further context, Max Shares

“For me, this album is Tallah finding our voice. During the writing process, no boxes were in place. No rules were set. Whatever felt uniquely us, that was what made the cut. I'm not sure how to even label this record's sound beyond 'Tallah'. It's weird. It's experimental. It's driving, and energetic. It's raw. We recorded live, every instrument at the same time, with no click. That's how we play shows, so why would we record differently? This album also marks my first recording dedicated to bass. I translated my drum knowledge to a new instrument and it was a huge creative breath of fresh air for me.”

For vocalist Justin Bonitz, the experience was equally intense.

"I practiced for months and was able to record the entire album in one huge, continuous take with no edits or redos or anything! And I was recovering from pneumonia! Nobody is gonna believe me! It was honestly the highlight of my entire vocal career. I was unsure if I could pull it off, but I went into the booth, grabbed an SM57, turned off the lights, and whatever happened happened. I think it feels more intimate and naked with all the flaws and imperfections, which is perfect for the raw, organic sound of this album."

From mirrored track titles to reversed riffs, Primeval: Obsession // Detachment’ is Tallah at their most deliberate and deranged. It’s a labyrinthine listen made for close listening and repeat immersion. As with everything they do, the chaos is crafted, and the madness is methodical.

Archetypes Collide Present New Song "The Problem"

Info from Atom Splitter PR and Fearless Records

Arizona rock band ARCHETYPES COLLIDE — Kyle Pastor (vocals), Brandon Baker and Jared Knister (guitars), Ky Sanders (bass), and Tyler Flamm(drums) — quickly established themselves as a band unafraid to blur the lines between safety and innovation in heavy music. In their songs, soaring vocals, melodies, and heavy grooves swirl with passion and precision. They closed out 2024 by releasing the single "Hollow High." Watch the visualizer here.

On "The Problem," the band has cranked the knobs as far as they can go It's powered by a gnarly riff that comes roaring from the '00s heavy music heyday. But while the song takes inspo from that era, this ain't no retro banger. Archetypes Collide have crafted a contemporary hard rock anthem with furious screams, layered and emotive vocal melodies, and killer, head-nodding choruses. "The Problem" is the logical next step for Archetypes Collide, who are poised to cut their own path in this genre.

"Setting boundaries, putting up walls, cutting off relationships," says Pastor. "It's an unfortunate reality we all have to deal with. But all too often people abuse these habits in the name of 'protecting their peace,' instead of taking responsibility for their actions. I wrote 'The Problem' after having to deal with this head on."

Archetypes Collide are touring the U.S. this spring in support of Fame on Fire and Haloescene. All dates are below.

ABOUT ARCHETYPES COLLIDE:
ARCHETYPES COLLIDE demand repeated listening, mixing everything from Linkin Park and Bring Me The Horizon to The Chainsmokers, and Stranger Things-style retro synths, into a unique musical identity. A collection of singles and EPs drew a devoted fanbase and the attention of Oshie Bichar, bassist for Beartooth. Bichar enlisted his management, and the pair took Archetypes Collide under their wing. Soon after, SiriusXM's Octane got behind songs like "Your Misery," "Becoming What I Hate," and "Above It All." The band appeared on major festivals like Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Welcome To Rockville, toured with genre giants The Amity Affliction, and crafted an ambitious self-titled debut album for Fearless Records. Archetypes Collide spent several weeks in the first part of 2022 making their inaugural full-length, with a super team surrounding them to execute their vision. Bichar produced alongside Nick Ingram (Dayseeker, Convictions, Hawthorne Heights) at Capital House Studio in Ohio. Additional production came from Jon Eberhard (Skillet, I Prevail, Until I Wake); The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers lent a creative hand as well. The resulting album, mixed by Jeff Dunne (Ice Nine Kills, Wage War, Make Them Suffer), captures the vibrant spirit of the 2010s-era Warped Tour with a postmodern edge. It's a diverse but singular mission statement, brimming with authenticity and hope. ARCHETYPES COLLIDE aren't bound by preconceived notions or limitations. As single Kyle Pastor explains simply: "Why not take every shot, in every direction, under the umbrella of hard rock and metal?"

The single arrives with a dark, atmospheric music video.

Candlemass comments, "'Black Star' is the big heavy track. Contains a bit of everything, Melodic verse, monolithic riff, up-tempo Sabbathy mid part, grand ending a la Rainbow!."

Swedish godfathers of epic doom Candlemass honor their 40th anniversary of pioneering the genre with a four-track EP, Black Star. Packed with canyon-deep riffs, the genre-defying band unveils two brand-new songs alongside two cover versions of timeless classics.

BRKN LOVE release new song "Cruel" Off Third Album

Info from Freeman Promotions and Spinefarm

Today, BRKN LOVE celebrates the release of their third LP 'The Program,' via Spinefarm. The release is heralded by a new single, "Cruel," accompanied by a new music video, available below.

Exuding bravado, mystique, and a whole lot of heart, BRKN LOVE sets the rulebook on fire by plugging in, turning up, and churning out the kind of rock ‘n’ roll that makes you feel a little freer. Their gritty riffs pack enough punch to shake any stage while the grooves quake with just the right amount of hip-swinging gusto. Led by vocalist and guitarist Justin Benlolo, the music drips swagger, soul, and spirit amplified by arena-sized hooks and intriguingly inventive musicality.

About "Cruel,Justin had this to say:

"'Cruel' is one of the most ambitious songs we’ve ever made. We leaned into our R&B influences on this one, breaking free from the boundaries we’d previously set for ourselves. This track marks a new chapter for BRKN LOVE, pushing our sound into brand-new territory. Lyrically, it’s about that moment when you’ve had enough — when someone has mistreated you for too long, and you finally decide to walk away. No second-guessing, no looking back. It is what it is.

"We recorded the song at the legendary Foo FightersStudio 606, capturing the energy and spirit of the greats we’ve always admired. The entire experience brought a new dimension to our sound, and we couldn’t be more excited to share 'Cruel' with the world. Thank you so much and turn it up loud."

An impromptu 2023 trip to visit a friend in Charleston, SC gave rise to their third studio album, 'The Program.' Justin initially planned on spending a weekend in town. That weekend turned into nine weeks, and he returned to Toronto with the bulk of the album’s material.

“I didn’t have anything else to do, so I brought all of my gear and studio equipment,” he recalls. “I was so inspired by the environment and the friends I made. It’s a big city, but it’s not huge. It’s just beautiful though. The experience inspired the whole record. Instead of being so picturesque and metaphorical, I told stories.”

The album title even referenced the name of the text group for his new friends in Charleston, embedding the experience and the city in the fabric of the music. The vision had already crystallized before he left for Los Angeles where he recorded with longtime producer Anton DeLost (CleopatrickThe WarningState ChampsDead Poet Society). These friends, and a variety of other characters he met, ultimately inspired the concept at the heart of "The Program."

“It was a collective of 10 people I’d never met before, and we kept using the term ‘The Program’ repeatedly like, ‘Let’s go here, because it would be good for The Program’,” he goes on. “It was cool to be surrounded by near-complete strangers, invite them to our place, and play demos. Their opinions were unfiltered and blunt—which was awesome. I was actively searching for inspiration, and I put myself out there in different situations. I was free and unchained to do anything.”

BRKN LOVE fulfilled a clear destiny to be as free as possible on their third full-length LP, 'The Program.'

On the album, BRKN LOVE shares:

"Our new album, 'The Program' started with a completely unplanned trip to Charleston, South Carolina. We had no real agenda, just a need to get away and see where the music would take us. That trip ended up shaping so much of this record, from the name to the overall vibe. More than anything, it helped us break free from the parameters we had set for this band in the past. This time, we just wanted to make the music we love, without overthinking what BRKN LOVE was supposed to sound like.

You’ll hear elements of funk, disco, pop and R&B in ways we’ve never done before. But at the end of the day, it still sounds like us. The fact that we even get to make a third album is something we don’t take for granted. So many bands don’t get this far, and we’re beyond grateful to still be here, making music that we love.

Lyrically, this is our most honest and direct record yet. A lot of it is about love and loss. We didn’t want to dress it up or be vague; we just wanted to be straight-up about heartbreak and more importantly, how you move on from it in a positive way.

We made this album with our frequent collaborator, Anton Delost, who absolutely killed it as a producer. A huge part of the sound comes from recording at the legendary Foo FightersStudio 606. Tracking through their iconic Neve console that’s been used on so many classic records. 'The Program' is the record we’ve always wanted to make, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

TSS Announce New Album Out June 27 and Release Song "Something In The Way"

Info from Atom Splitter PR and Fearless Records

TSS have steadily built its reputation thanks to its innovative blend of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, and synthwave. They've recently added elements of phonk and neo-metal to their sonic blend. The band was founded in 2016 by Kirby, who sought to combine his emo and metalcore roots into a fresh new sound. The band quickly solidified its lineup with John on guitar and vocals andHugo on drums.

Today, they announce the forthcoming release of new album END OF TIME, out June 27 via Fearless.
The band has also shared the video for new single "Something in the way."  See it below.

With this album and track, TSS are about to put themselves firmly on the international musical map. The song is sung in both English and the band's native tongue, adding an extra layer of sonic thrills. The song's universal appeal also lies in the alternately sung and screamed vocals, thick riffs, monster breakdowns, and liberal use of synths, which add more girth and heft to the track. Stick around for the utterly explosive ending. It will knock the wind out of you with its ferocity.

"'Something in the way' tells the story of a protagonist who witnesses the fall of a loved one into the darkness of depression, with no means of remedy," states the band. "The track starts with a drum 'n' bass theme and gets heavier and heavier, ending with the most violent breakdown the band has ever written — a perfect way to illustrate the torment of the soul the band wanted to portray. The band likes to end their live performance with this track, as its tempo and progression allow for jumping, dancing, headbanging but also crazy wall-of-deaths."

Mission accomplished.

END OF TIME TRACK LISTING:
"END OF TIME"
"Notes In The Dark"
"Would you be my therapy?"
"Something In The Way"
"KILLING ME"
"In The Haze We Hide"

  "DEAD!" (Feat. CVLTE)
"Breaking Bones"
"Fantasize"
"Ending Scene"
"So Long My Friend"
"Would you be my therapy?" (Feat. Windwaker)
ABOUT TSS:
TSS's origin story can be traced back to December 2017, with "The Wrong Way," their firstsingle release. In May 2018, they released "Lost In The Crowd," a track that set the stage for their first live performance, which found them opening for Asking Alexandria in Paris. This show established TSS as an up and coming force in the French music scene.

Their 2018 single "Someone," a blend of synthwave and retrowave, was a turning point that showcased John as a second lead vocalist. This shift was followed by their self-titled debut EP in May 2019, led by the single "Damn I Hate It," which fans loved, thanks to its fusion of funk, synthwave, and emo elements. The band's growing popularity was further confirmed with a sold-out release show in Paris.

As the band evolved, they started to introduce French lyrics into their songs, leading to the release of "YAYAYA" in September 2019. Their originality attracted the attention of independent label PlayTwo, resulting in the creation of the album REGRETS in collaboration with Warner Music and TV broadcaster TF1. In September 2021, the band rebranded to TSS, marking the occasion with the release of the single "1996," which garnered significant attention in France.

February 2023 saw TSS embrace a more aggressive style with "Tes Pleurs," a modern metalcore track inspired by Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy. This new direction broadened their audience while maintaining their unique gothic/K-pop aesthetic. The band's experimental spirit led to the August 2023 release of "Fantasize," a viral hit that fused alternative rock, J-rock, phonk, and metal, earning millions of streams on Spotify.

The momentum continued with "Would You Be My Therapy?" in December 2023, a track that topped iTunes rock charts and caught the attention of many labels. In September 2024, having signed a deal with Fearless Records.

TSS's journey, characterized by constant innovation and genre-blending, has positioned them as a rising force in the modern metal scene, with a growing fanbase across diverse musical communities.

Wolves At The Gate Release "Synthetic Sun" From New Album Out May 30

Info from Atom Splitter PR and Solidstate Records

Today, the band has shared the visualizer for second single "SYNTHETIC SUN." Watch it below.

"As a culture, we're trying to create our own morality, but can't do so without a true moral standard," says vocalist/guitarist Steve Cobucci. "Rather, we do this individually, which ends up creating chaos. We all fall prey to this mindset. Creating your own morality will cause you to block out any semblance of truth outside of yourself. If you metaphorically block out the actual sun and create a synthetic sun, it will result in a slow and fatal poisoning."

The song's poignant and extremely current lyrical lean is complemented by the sonic heft. Syncopated beats and synths anchor the song, which will take up real estate in your brain long after the song fades out.

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Their vision unfolded across albums such as Captors [2012], VxV [2014], Types & Shadows [2016], Eclipse [2019], and Eulogies [2022]. Blabbermouth rated the latter "9.0-out-of-10.0," while mxdwn summed it up as "powerfully moving." Along the way, the group tallied tens of millions of streams fueled by the likes of "Counterfeit," "Deadman," "Lowborn," "Peace That Starts The War," and more. Not to mention, they've performed alongside everyone from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Red to Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris. In 2024, a core idea screamed out to guitarist Steve Cobucci, shaping the creative direction of the band's next evolution. It slowly, but surely seeped into the DNA of the music and his words.

"As I was working on the album and especially the lyrics, I began to realize that the Wasteland was a metaphor for a frame of mind that I don't want to live in, but a world I feel myself drawn back into over and over again," Cobucci reveals. "I hate it. It's a world of empty promises. It's a mirage. A counterfeit."

The musicians carefully pieced together what would become Wasteland. Cobucci co-produced the 13-track body of work with Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, while the band recorded in New Jersey, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This time around, they added multiple dimensions to their signature sound, layering intriguing interludes and electronic overtures into the framework.

WASTELAND TRACK LISTING:
    "INT[r]O"

"[The Wasteland] PAIN"
"PARASITE"
"SYNTHETIC SUN"
"wandering"
"LAW OF THE [Waste]LAND"
"SMOKE [False Devils]"

New Underoath Album "The Place After This One" Out Now

Info from Beastie Butterfly

Hard rock, electronic experimentation and guttural screams! What sounds like the beginning of a sweet fairy tale is the new album “The Place After This One” by UNDEROATH and we are happy to announce its release today. While the band is currently on tour in the US supporting Papa Roach and Rise Against as part of the “Rise of the Roach” tour, they will also be playing a number of headline dates and some summer festivals there.

Back to the scene of the action: “The Place After This One”! On the occasion of their upcoming release, UNDEROATH have graced the covers of Alternative Press, New Noise Magazine, Revolver and Rock Sound in the past weeks! The pre-released radio single, “All The Love Is Gone”, has charted at #1 on Active Rock Radio and has moved up the charts faster than any other single in the band's career. Following the previously released “Generation No Surrender”, “Survivors Guilt” and “Teeth”, the radio single “All The Love Is Gone” is by all accounts one of UNDEROATH's most unusual songs to date. Singer Spencer Chamberlain explains that they wanted to make a drum and bass-driven song that is reminiscent of The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. The heaviness of UNDEROATH remains like a rock in the surf.

Incidentally, this applies to the entire 12-track long player. Guitarist Timothy McTague knows exactly why: “It's perhaps a blessing and a curse that no matter what song we do together, it will sound like UNDEROATH. No matter how far we stray from the beaten path, we always find UNDEROATH in the middle.” And since they wrote much of the record in a lonely cabin in the woods, we're glad they didn't stray too far off the beaten path. "The Place After This One" contains the diversity of each individual band member and they connect with it so deeply that none of them can stand still while listening. This record is a provocative and inspiring work of underdog art, enjoy listening!

Gemini Syndrome Releases New Single "Carosel"

Info from TAG Publicity

In the ever-turning wheel of existence, where past, present, and future blur into a singular, cyclical motion, Gemini Syndrome unveils their latest offering, “Carousel”—a haunting meditation on the cycles we trap ourselves in and the courage it takes to break free.

"I am my own worst enemy."

A confession. A revelation. A truth buried beneath layers of pretense. We sabotage ourselves in the shadows, hiding behind the illusion of control. The turmoil within is relentless, unseen yet omnipresent. “Carousel” rips the mask away, exposing this eternal conflict—the conscious self at war with the unconscious. The driver and the passenger. The master and the captive.

"We can often be our own worst enemies," says drummer Brian Steele Medina"There’s this illusion of control, like we’re holding the reins, but sometimes we don’t realize we’re just along for the ride. ‘Carousel’ captures that duality—the war between who we are and who we want to be."

To break the cycle requires an act of will—but true will is more than defiance; it is surrender. The courage to let go of the illusions that bind us. How can we evolve if we refuse to release the weight of our past? How can we ascend if we remain tethered to a wheel that never stops spinning?

"How can we become better than our present selves, when we live our lives like we’re on a carousel?"

The question lingers like an incantation, a challenge to all who dare to listen. “Carousel” is not just a song—it is a rite of passage, a moment of reckoning for those willing to look into the mirror and confront the storm behind their own eyes.

"At some point, you have to face the mirror," vocalist

Aaron Nordstrom adds. "The song is about that reckoning—when you finally admit that you’re the architect of your own suffering. But acknowledgment is the first step to change."

With towering riffs, hypnotic rhythms, and a chorus that lingers like a whispered truth, “Carousel” embodies the struggle between stagnation and self-awareness.

This is the journey of Origin: From Nothingness to Everything—the transmutation of the self through trial and tribulation. The endless fight to wake up, break free, and become more than the sum of our past mistakes.

The ride is not over. But the choice is yours: remain in endless repetition, or shatter the cycle and step beyond.

As Gemini Syndrome continues their journey of musical and philosophical alchemy, “Carousel” stands as a call to arms for those willing to step off the loop and forge a new path.

The album was produced by Richard Meiz (Lacuna Coil, Genus Ordinis Dei), mixed & mastered by Daniele Salomone (Lacuna Coil, Inverno, D With Us) at DDStudio Records.

Watch their “The Circle” music video right now.
Watch Now"The Circle embraces one of the main mechanics of life… karma.” Says drummer Sam Zichi. “You must be careful, because each decision leads to a consequence, everything you do or say, will come back around. We hope to strike our viewers with a resonant and mindful message of always being wide-awake in life, because you will never know when it will strike back to you."Vocalist Vivian Black adds, “For this music video, we wanted to focus on the band with minimal and modern elements, without losing the expression and the mood of the single. A dark room to get an oniric feeling, blue lights in contrast with red lights for a duality of emotions which we feel in this track and in the album in general. The focus light on us to remember that even in the dark our light will always shine.” Bassist Matteo Campagnoli continues, “Conveying the full intensity of the song in front of a camera was undoubtedly the greatest challenge, but we pulled it off. How, you ask? The secret was diving into the very soul of The Circle and recreating the environment where this song truly thrives… a live performance.” Finally, guitarist Matteo Radaelli adds “This song called for a more aggressive approach, other ones for hidden messages, and last but not least others for a more emotional feeling. For that reason we’ll experiment with different styles, plots and visual effects to create something unique each time, trying to catch the vibe of every song.”Echoes is the title of the exciting post groove metal album by Noumenia, featuring heavy drumming, rhythmic virtuosity, ripsaw growl vocals, and a gargantuan guitar sound that literally reinvents the power of the power chord. The pound and burn on this record are massive, the hooks mesmerizing, the changes invigorating, the philosophical lyrics all too close to the heart, the bottom-side where we stockpile secrets and darkness. Often, the songs on this record kick off with bizarre futuristic introductions constructed of suspense and trepidation, like movie soundtracks made for aliens, dangerous AI, and cyborgs gone mad, yet following these mystic “orchestral” and “celestial” preludes, Noumenia hit us with drop after drop that rock so hard we are stunned. Musically, this record makes for a striking hybrid, explosive and smooth, hard diamond with a soft shine, a thick dose of dangerous velvet. Holistically, it seems that the band has a mission here to invigorate, exfoliate, and buzzsaw the brain so the new world looks real and raw. Echoes features cover art designed by Samuele Zichi, and it is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025.

Godsmack have launched their 2025 European/UK tour without two longtime core members of the group. Drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola are currently not in the band at the start of the tour, and have been replaced by Will Hunt (Evanescence) and Sam Bam Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat), respectively. In an interview with a Bulgarian radio station, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna disclosed that both musicians were not on the tour due to “personal things.” “I can tell you that there has definitely been some changes that have happened in the last few months,” said Erna. “They are changes that we’re not sure will be permanent or temporary, but everybody and everyone is in good health and in really good spirits. And the band is doing better than ever.” Godsmack is currently on the road promoting 2023’s Lighting Up the Sky, which they have declared will be their final album.

Kirk Hammett Reveals He’s Working On First Solo Album, And Has “767” Riffs Ready For Next Metallica Record

In a new interview with Rolling StoneMetallica’s Kirk Hammett revealed that he is currently working on his first solo album, and has over 700 riffs stockpiled for Metallica’s next LP. “I’m just actively getting ideas together for my [first] solo album,” he told the publication. “I guess the best way to describe it is it’s gonna be a fusion of all sorts of styles” While Hammet’s 2022 solo EP, Portals, featured instrumental pieces, his new project will feature a yet to be determined singer. “There will be vocals because the songs that I wrote scream for vocals this time around,” he said. “Who’s gonna be doing the vocals? I don’t know. I hope I’m not — I already have too much to do onstage” While he focuses on his solo album, Hammet isn’t neglecting his duties with Metallica, saying he has riffs stored up for the band. “I have 767 new ones for the next album,” he said. “I don’t foresee us starting the next album for at least another year because we’re still finishing the 72 Seasons tour.”

Even as newcomers Luna Kills have already opened the door to their beloved gaming world as their music is featured in the hit mobile app Beatstar. Disturbed's Mike Wengren denies that Disturbed caused damage to Chicago Bulls' Banners

By: Leeza Photo Credit: Warners

It seems that Disturbed and The United Center can't agree on what happened to the Chicago Bulls' championship banners.

Disturbed drummer Mike Wengren has gone against The United Center's statement released on March 14th, which claimed the band's pyrotechnics were responsible for minor damage to the banners.

Wengren denied the band was responsible, stating:

"That's actually false. So one of the stagehands ran with the story and now it's turned into something...We didn't burn anything. If you think about the size of it, even it you watch the show tonight, you'll see how high it is. We have extensive pyro and the flames are very high, but it gets tested every day. The fire marshals look at it...Everybody looks [at it] before [the concert] during the day. There's no way we could come even close the the banners. So it's bullshit."

Wengren continued:

"It's frustrating for us. Because on one hand, the fan perspective is, 'Wow, their pyro is that incredible, so I've gotta see the show,' so maybe that's kind of cool but then the other hand is as we're continuing on this tour with the same show, every building we go into is now nervouw about us causing damage to their building. We're big sports fans, especially myself. We were at the game last night. We would never be disrespectful to anyone's building. We are hometown Chicago boys. Why would we desecrate our own team? It's ridiculous. Today, for example, the marshals tested everything. But this building is actually very smart; they have a system where you just have to press a button and the banners roll up. So there's a safe [way to deal with it], but some of the buildings don't have that."

The banners that were damaged celebrated the Bull's championship from 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 1998.

Tobias Forge says the Ghost lore will eventually end

By Leeza Photo Credit: Loma Vista Recordings

Most fans of Ghost know the band is more than their music.

The band's lore surrounding the stories of Papa, Sister Imperator, Papa Nihil have been a part of the band's mystique since it's inception, but according to Tobias Forge, the storytelling may eventually come to an end.

In a new interview, the band's frontman and creator stated:

"I think that there might be an end to the storytelling because it’s not productive to have this endless soap opera. If fans need the lore in order to like the band, then that element will probably be over quite soon.

“If there is a way where the music can be enough and remains enjoyable, though, I am just as needy as any other artist in the sense of milestones that I want to achieve. There are still places that I want to play and still things I want to do that will be another feather in my hat. I am very lucky that I’ve been able to achieve many of those things, but there are still levels of success that I want."

Ghost will be releasing their latest album Skeleta on April 25th via Loma Vista Records.

DED Release new song featuring Chris Motionless

Info from Atom Splitter PR

They are gunning for a HUGE 2025, as evidenced by their latest single "Until I Die," featuring Chris Motionless from Motionless in White.

"'Until I Die' is a statement about drawing a line for my life," says Cotela. "It's me separating myself from the bullshit. It's my mission statement to do everything in my power to be the change that I want to see in the world while I am here. It was such an honor to have Chris on this track as a fan of his body of work and as a friend. We met on tour together and he was such a big champion of Ded. He's true blue just a great human which made him perfect to be on this song. He murdered his parts on this and added a ferocity that only he could have done."

"Rockstar" and "Until I Die" have served as a welcome return for DED, who released their second full length, School of Thought, in October 2021.
The band is also revitalized by signing with indie powerhouse UNFD, home to ERRA, Crossfaith, In Hearts Wake, Invent Animate, and more.

Having burst onto the scene with their debut Mis-An-Thrope and its follow up, School of Thought, Phoenix band DED take no prisoners. The band embodies elements of nü metal, hardcore, punk, and rock with pop sensibilities, hooks, and choruses, cloaked in some of the most dense and guttural sounds you’ll hear. DED’s unexpectedly soulful music is about bringing hope, relief and self-awareness, often speaking to and about the young generations that are contending with many deeply embedded issues in today’s society. Rather than the nihilistic, anarchical hellraisers DED might seem to be upon first glance, they’re actually mythical heroes desperately trying to save society, not take it down. Joe Cotela (vocals), Alex Adamcik (guitar), Kyle Koelsch (bass), and Matt Reinhard (drums) are building a community by offering comfort in times of despair. With Mis-An-Thrope, DED took the rock world by storm, generating over 25 million streams making several Billboard chart appearances including #1 on the Alternative New Artist chart and #3 on the Top New Artist Albums chart. Singles "Anti-Everything" and "Remember the Enemy" reached Top 20 at Active Rock Radio with SiriusXM’s Octane naming DED "Artist Discovery of the Year" and "Anti-Everything" landing in the station’s Top 10 for 2017. The band were also nominated by Loudwire for Best New Artist. “Anti-Everything” also made impressive strides at servicing appearing on Spotify's U.S. Viral 50 twice and various playlists across Apple Music, Amazon, and Pandora. The band also toured with Korn and Stone Sour.

They followed with School of Thought. Touring-wise, DED lit up festival stages including Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Rocklahoma, Carolina Rebellion, Rock on the Range and Ship Rocked and have toured with In This Moment, Black Veil Brides, and more. They also enjoyed their highest charting radio hit with "Kill Beautiful Things," which was Top 15 and the second longest-running song on the airplay charts in 2022, with 4 million stream and 1.7 million YouTube views.

Ultimately, DED blaze their own trail as they cathartically stare down various beasts — both existential and innate — proving that there’s a way to live through the struggle and come out stronger, happier, and more aware of how we look after ourselves and each other. The band is now signed with UNFD, with two ridiculously head-turning singles under their belt.

Limp Bizkit’s $200 Million Lawsuit Against UMG Heading To Trial After Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss

Limp Bizkit's $200 million lawsuit against Universal Music will proceed to trial after a federal judge rejected the label's attempt to dismiss the case. The band initially sued UMG in October 2024, alleging that the label withheld significant royalties totalling as much as $200 million, while also accusing the company of “fraud,” claiming they “designed and implemented royalty software and systems that were deliberately designed to conceal artists’ royalties and keep those profits for itself.” Despite UMG's efforts to dismiss the lawsuit, the federal judge's recent ruling paves the way for an eventual trial between the band and the record label. This legal development follows UMG's ongoing legal dispute with Drake regarding allegations of inflating streaming numbers for Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us."

Arch Enemy’s 30th Anniversary Arrives 2025 With New Album

Photo Credit: Patric Ullaeus / Info From Century Media Records and Atom Splitter PR

Legends of pure fucking metal for nearly 30 years, Arch Enemy are a certifiably formidable force. Founded by Swedish guitar hero Michael Amott back in 1995, they have survived three decades without compromise and are still growing in strength and popularity. In 2025, Arch Enemy return with yet another magnificent outpouring of virtuoso brutality, Blood Dynasty. The band’s 12th studio album captures them at the height of their powers, as showcased on the recently released Dream Stealer and Liars & Thieves tracks: the vicious, high-energy rippers that open and close the record.

As Amott explains, these songs set the tone forone of Arch Enemy’s heaviest and most dynamic albums yet. “When we released ‘Dream Stealer’, I saw a lot of comments saying that it harked back the old school sound of the band, but I don’t know if I agree with that”, he notes. “We definitely turned up the speed and the aggression this time. We all enjoy that. Luckily we got some good rehearsal time in before the tour, it has a lot of twists and turns, so we need to play it very well for it to sound as good as it does on the album!”

Arch Enemy began life amid the shadows of the metal underground. Michael Amott’s tenure with UKicons Carcass inspired him to continue down a fervently melodic but dark and brutal road, and the debut album Black Earth, released in 1996, was the result. Defined by its intricate, hyper-melodicguitar work and grisly, death metal intensity, Arch Enemy’s sound had huge potential from the start. But after three albums with original frontman Johan Liiva, the band mutated into an even more powerful beast, with charismatic vocalist Angela Gossow leading the charge. Albums like Wages Of Sin (2001), Anthems Of Rebellion (2003) and Doomsday Machine (2005) were rapturously received by critics and fans alike, and by the end of the noughties, Arch Enemy were firmly established as international heavyweights with a peerless reputation for triumphant live shows.

In 2014, Gossow’s amicable departure gave way to the arrival of powerhouse frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz, and the release of War Eternal, the new line-up’s first album together. Another instant hit, it paved the way for even greater success and popularity. More recent albums Will To Power (2017) and Deceivers (2022) kept the band’s standards sky high, with White-Gluz a remarkable, captivating figurehead, and her band mates – Amott, drummer Daniel Erlandsson, bassist Sharlee D’Angelo, andsince 2023, guitarist Joey Concepcion – enjoying astonishing levels of chemistry and ingenuity. Returning in 2025 with Blood Dynasty, Arch Enemy are more powerful than ever.

“This is our 12th studio album, and the rule of metal is that you’ve got to keep trying to say the samething, but in slightly different ways!” says Amott. “There’s a degree of familiarity in our sound, which Idon’t see as a problem because we’re playing the music we love. But obviously we’ve got to throw acouple of curveballs in there each time, a few new interesting things to spice it up a little bit. How doyou get people talking about your record when it’s the 12th one, you know?”

Diehard Arch Enemy fans will be expecting a curveball or two, but the essence of Blood Dynasty is drawn from the same pristine carnage that made anthems like We Will Rise and Nemesis such staples of the modern metal world 20 years ago. From the blistering grandeur of Dream Stealer to the grinding, mid-paced melodic death of Don’t Look Down, this is the sound of a legendary band hitting a new level of potency. Explosive and anthemic on Illuminate The Path, pitch-black and monstrous on the title track, and melodically imperious on the skull-rattling The Pendulum, Arch Enemy have never sounded bigger, better or more excited about their own music.

“We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel. We’re just writing the best music we can”, says Amott. “It may be old news now, but we have a singer who can do different voices and different kinds of singing. Sothere’s a song, ‘Illuminate The Path’, that has some clean sung vocals in the chorus, which is unusualfor us. We’ve incorporated Alissa’s clean vocals before, but it’s been in a bridge section or somethinglike that. So this is a different approach. There is also a cover song, ‘Vivre Libre’, which is a Frenchhard rock metal ballad from the ‘80s, by a band called Blaspheme. It has French lyrics, and Alissa speaks fluent French as she grew up in Quebec, Canada. It was going to be a bonus track, until weheard her vocal on it, and then it was, ‘Damn, this is killer!’ It sounded like it should be on the album. People can hate it or love it, I don’t mind [laughs]!”

Blood Dynasty was recorded in Sweden, with revered production guru Jens Bogren manning thecontrols. Having previously worked with the band on the mix for 2017’s Will To Power, Bogren was the perfect addition to the team this time around. The new Arch Enemy material sounds colossal, detailed and muscular, but with an underlying grittiness that outstrips all previous albums in terms of out-and- out metal power. Although they are renowned as great virtuosos of the modern metal scene, Amott and his comrades have lost none of their underground spirit. As described with passion on new anthem, March Of The Miscreants, Arch Enemy are the biggest little underground metal band in the world.

“I know we’re bigger than underground bands, and we’ve reached a new plateau in our career, almost30 years in”, Amott admits. “But at the same time, if you look at the big picture of music, nearly all metal bands should be considered underground! They’re ignored by the mainstream, and that’s fine by me. Growing up and playing my guitar and joining my first bands, I wasn’t thinking about mainstream acceptance at all. I was trying to be a better musician, trying to play with better musicians, and having the dedication to go to shows and support the underground. The wholeatmosphere and the spirit of it... it’s the spirit of the underdog! That’s still what Arch Enemy is about.”

Arch Enemy’s 30th anniversary arrives during 2025. What better way to celebrate three decades of vital and exhilarating heavy metal than to welcome the mighty Blood Dynasty into the world? Another creative peak in a career and catalogue that are full of them, this latest salute to the gods ofheaviness is as dark, heavy, riotous and real as anything in Arch Enemy’s celebrated career.

“I’m a big believer in doing something that feels authentic, convincing and real”, Amott concludes. “I want our music to be relatable, exciting, and to turn people on, you know? We do get a lot of messages from fans who tell us how much our music means to them, and the lyrics have helped themin their lives, and that’s just really amazing to hear. It’s a responsibility, in a way, to keep deliveringhigh quality and real stuff. There have been ups and downs, and we’ve been through a lot together as a group, but we have new fans coming in all the time, and that’s really exciting.”
